Screen Saver Mode
As well as running Clone as a standalone application it can also be run as a screen saver. You need to select Clone as your screen saver in your windows configuration, see below.
For more information on configuring screen savers see below. Once you have selected Clone as your screen saver you can configure it by clicking the 'Settings' button. Clone will act like any other screen saver when it has been activated in screen saver mode, i.e. will stop operating when the mouse is moved / clicked or when a key is pressed. If a file is only halfway through being copied when Clone is terminated then the file will be incomplete in the destination directory, this will cause a problem if you attempt to recover the file from the destination directory.
Open -
- in Control Panel.
On the Screen Saver tab, under Screen Saver select Clone
After you select Clone, it will automatically start when your computer is idle for the number of minutes specified in Wait.
To clear the screen saver after it has started, move your mouse or press any key.
To view the settings for Clone, click Settings on the Screen Saver tab.
Click Preview to test Clone. Move your mouse or press any key to end the preview.
I want to thank you for Clone which has saved all my files for me. I had used Clone to backup all my files to a second hard drive just before the C drive failed so I have been able to get them all back.
I ordered Clone this morning ! I love it and won’t be able to live without it !!!!! I finally got around to using it with my CD writer last night and I didn’t have any problems (as I expected !). It works perfectly and saves so much time !
